Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne/Unused Skills

This is a sub-page of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

Some skill descriptions that can be found inside the ELF for the game. These are contained inside data_03. A lot of these are just Reserve skills, but there are also descriptions for a few boss skills that you would normally not see in a normal playthrough of the game. Since a lot of them are reserve skills, you cannot use them in battle. Though it might be possible to restore some of their functionality.

This page uses the JP Maniax edition and the NA release as the base because a lot of skills were offset with the added skills to the Maniax release. Even then, they're still in the original release. This page is presented with custom formatting, the text isn't stored this exact way in the game.

Null Expel Ability

SMT-III-Nocturne-No-Magatama.png

If you're not using any magatama in the game, then you will of course not get any stat boosts or skills. However, you get an innate null expel resistance. Just like in the previous Shin Megami Tensei games where if you're human, you null expel by default.

Passive Skills

These are unused passive skills that might've made the game too broken.

Healing Skills

Apparently you could put up barriers for different types of magic like in Digital Devil Saga at one point, but this was cut. The interesting thing about these barrier skills is that their actual skills is just boss skills that you cannot use in the final game. But they use these descriptions instead if you hack them into the game.
