The game contains a number of unused areas, several of which are completely unique. However, most of them are an early versions of the final maps.

Test Maps
There are a few test maps that are put into folders of a few levels. These are often untextured and are generaly really short because of how they're made. They're test maps after all. These areas can only be loaded by using ram-editing to load the level and the correct subset that contains these unused maps.

013_005ː Test map that is located in Harumi Warehouse. Flat plane with upstanding pillars that you can walk through.
014_005ː Found in Shinjuku Medical Centre pre-conception. The prototype door model is present as well as some unfinished textures.
018_010ː A test map in Amala Network with a four-way split.
018_011ː Another Amala Network Test map. Short corridor with a two-way split.

018_012ː Amala Network Test Map. Similar to 018_011 it has a two-way split.
018_013ː Amala Network Test Map. Short corridor with a cache cube that gives you 300 macca. Such a shame that you can't leave.
018_014ː Yet another Amala Network test map.
018_015ː The last test map located inside the fldff018 folder. The prototype door model is present here as well.

022_002ː Ginza Underpass test map. There are two types of "doors" here with a metal texture. The walk sounds in the dungeon is present as well as the music.
025_016ː Located in Kabukicho Prison. More unused textures used here.
035_012ː Mifunashiro test room.
037_002ː You get warped to this area in Tower of Kagutsuchi 3 when selecting the subset 002. Two equal rooms that are located next to eachother.
Cut Maps/Cutscene Maps
These maps have once been functioning in the game, but was cut from the main game. The files are still there, but the maps are not fully functional with collision like the test maps. You can also call these cutscene maps since these are most often used for the unused cutscenes and are intended to work that way with proper lightning and colors.

501_001ː Used in the Incubus and Kurama cutscene. The colors are not working properly, you can see how they should look here.
502_001ː This map was once called Shinjuku as seen in the making of by translating the opening message of this area. Used in the second Incubus and Kurama cutscene.

512_001ː This is actually a prototype version of Shinjuku Medical Centre. As you can see, the textures and what not are not present.
550_001ː Unused Station Area that is used in an unused version of the 'call cutscene' at the beginning of the game.
