Frogger was the very last licensed game released on both the SNES and Genesis. It's really just the arcade game with a clipart-quality title screen. Woo hoo.

Level Select Code

According to programmer Scott Marshall, he placed what he calls a "backdoor" in the final game; this backdoor is actually a level select code. His description of the code is incomplete; here is how to do the code:

  1. On the Select Number of Players screen, hold C.

  2. Press Right nine times.

  3. With C held, press A to add one and B to subtract one from a number that will only appear at the top of the screen once you press A or B once. The range is from $01 to $0B. This number tells you which level you start at.

The function that handles this backdoor is at $15AA; at $1622 is a bit of code to set the internal counter to $0B, but this code does not appear to be used.

A second revision of the game updated the title screen to include Konami as the trademark holder of Frogger.

This change also applied to the credits.

The second revision also removed the duplicate score display present on the first level.
