Mouse Trap Hotel is an obscure, low-quality platformer in which you must navigate a mouse through a hotel full of noodle-people to reunite him with his girlfriend.

Developer Credit


At 0x60, there's a credit for game designer and programmer Mark D. Klein, and a build date... which reveals the game languished unreleased for quite a while.

These two things are always loaded into the tiles but are never used.


Floor Select

Hold Up + Right and power on or reset the console. A floor select screen will appear after the license screen, allowing any floor except the top one to be selected.

Two Debug Modes, both similar to the ones in Bart Simpson's Escape from Camp Deadly, can be accessed by pressing Select during gameplay and entering one of the codes below:


Simple Debug Mode

Press Up, Down, Right, Up, Down, Left, B, Up, B, Down. Press Up/Down to switch between modes (a number in the top-left corner). Press A to activate a corresponding option.



  • 0 - Toggles invincibility. Every time it turns ON, adds one life.

  • 1 - Gives 80 lives at once, also set one of weapon/power variables to max.

  • 2 - Increase up to 2 another weapon/power variable.

  • 3 - Floor Select with activated Floor 5.


Full Debug Mode

Press Up, Down, Right, Start, Up, Down, Left, B, Up, B, Down. Same as previous with much more options.



  • 4 - Enable debug keys during the game, toggles various the BG/WND/CHR data frames.

    • A + Start

  • 5 - Faster speed

  • 7 - Display debug numbers at the bottom of HUD.
