This page details one or more prototype versions of Super Adventure Island II.
A prototype version of Super Adventure Island II was dumped and has been floating around the internet for a few years (often erroneously labeled as a "beta"). Compared to the final ROM, there are at least a few thousand bytes which have been modified between both revisions. The page below addresses the changes found so far.
Textual Changes
The only text string removed from the final release. This line appears mixed in with Tina's other quotes:
"Your peanut-sized brain should come in handy."
Some of the introduction and ending cutscene text was toned down before release. The string below are listed in the order that they appear in the ROM. Words modified have been highlighted in bold:
