So very stubbly.

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Gex 64: Enter the Gecko is a Nintendo 64 port of the PlayStation title, minus a large amount of content.

Contents

  • 1 PlayStation Save Areas

  • 2 Odd Box in Titanic Stage

  • 3 Regional Differences

    • 3.1 Gex's Voice

PlayStation Save Areas

Moon Jump Code (Hold L button when Gex jumps):

D00BF2F5 0020

8014E933 0043

Using the above code, Gex can be taken to two platforms, leftover from the PlayStation version of the game. These areas were used to save and load the game. These platforms cannot be used to save, load, or anything.

Odd Box in Titanic Stage

Outside the level borders of Gecques Cousteau, the Titanic level, a strange, green box partially inside a white cage-like box can be seen. It's behind the TV for the "swim through the arches" remote.

Regional Differences

Gex's Voice

In the US version, Gex is voiced by comedian Dana Gould, but in the UK release, he's voiced by longtime British character actor Leslie Phillips instead. Also, probably because of the sound data being rearranged, there are a few oddities in Gex's introductions for each level.

  • In the UK version, Gex doesn't say anything at the beginning of The Umpire Strikes Out, Pain in the Asteroids, and No Weddings and a Funeral.

  • At the beginning of The Spy Who Loved Himself, Gex "says" a metal clanking sound rather than an actual quote.

  • When the switch in Smellraiser is hit, a loud woman's scream can be heard. In the UK, it's been changed to Gex saying "This looks familiar." This may or may not be due to the file rearrangement.
