AWE Games' first SpongeBob SquarePants game. The game has two stories, but they both involve playing the same five minigames. It also has really cheesy cutscenes.

Contents

  • 1 Unused Graphics

  • 2 Unused Models

    • 2.1 Mr. Krabs

    • 2.2 Boat

  • 3 Unused Sounds

  • 4 Unused Text

Unused Graphics

Thumbnails for each zone. Some are cropped parts from the loading screens, while some are strange textures.

Hey Squidward!

A thumbnail for the movie menu. It's a still from one of the cutscenes.

Holy shrimp!

A thumbnail for the main menu with SpongeBob in bed. Unlike the actual menu, he has sleeves, possibly meaning this is from an earlier version.

EVIL!EEEEVVVVIIIILLLLL!!And the lights will flicker on and off...Fire!!!

Icons found in the graphics of every level. They could be related to the "editor", which the game's executable mentions a lot.

Ahh... Jellyfish Fields.

A thumbnail with the Jellyfish Fields sign.

Neon wooden lights!

A thumbnail with "BOATING SCHOOL" poorly photoshopped over the Jellyfish Fields sign.

Sboperationkp boatest.png

A row of boats named boatest.pcx. The filename indicates it's a test of something.

Unused Models

As little models as there are in the game, there's two that aren't even used.

Mr. Krabs

Makin' models and not using 'em is wasting me money!

MRKRAB.PRO, an unused model of Mr. Krabs. He does appear in the game, but as a 2D sprite steering the ship in Save Me Money.

Hey, Mr.Krabs is getting all sweaty again!

He was most likely to be a playable character in "Save Me Money" because when you replace "MRKRAB.PRO" with "Z5SPON.PRO" his texture appears correctly, but he will be small. He has animations for when he mounts the cannons.

Boat

How the barnacles am I supposed to drive this?

BOAT3.PRO, a third boat meant for Boating School 101 that doesn't have any wheels. There's only two levels, making this go unused. There's also SpongeBob in it.

Unused Sounds

While the game already has a limited soundtrack, there's three sounds that aren't even used.

new.wav, a sparkling sound effect that you'd assume is for unlocking something. It was later used in The Spongebob Squarepants movie as the pickup sound.

revbeep.wav, a double beeping sound.

cancel.wav, a boink sound for canceling something.

Unused Text

SpongeBob.exe, the game's executable, is where all the text is. While there isn't much to find, there's still a few interesting things.
