Nathan Juran, nome d'arte di Naftuli Hertz Juran, anche conosciuto come Nathan Hertz (Gura Humorului, 1º settembre 1907 – Palos Verdes Estates, 23 ottobre 2002), è stato un regista austriaco.

Biografia |

Nathan Juran è entrato nel cinema nel 1937 come direttore artistico ed ha vinto un Oscar per il film Com'era verde la mia valle nel 1942.

Negli anni cinquanta ha diretto film come Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958) - firmandosi come "Nathan Hertz" - e Il 7º viaggio di Sinbad (1958). Nei primi anni sessanta ha soggiornato in Europa, dove ha diretto diversi film di avventura e western. Nel 1999 ha ricevuto il premio alla carriera dall'Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.

Si è sposato con Catherine Juran, da cui ha avuto un figlio.
